Remember that skirt that you just HAD to have because it was so inexpensive? The same skirt that you wore once and has been sitting in the back of your closet since? That’s fast fashion. There has been a lot of talk recently about moving away from fast fashion, but what is fast fashion? And what can we do as consumers to combat the practice?
For my graduation, my mother graciously gifted me with a cruise to the Caribbean. We spent 8 days and 7 nights aboard the Carnival Vista and I had an amazing time. Starting at the port in Miami, we traveled to Grand Turk, La Romana in the Dominican Republic, Curaçao, and Aruba.
Its #GradSZN! Congratulations to all of those who recently graduated! Since graduation is such an important time it is also important that one looks great for the occasion.
Hey y’all! So this past weekend my school had our annual Rites of Spring concert. It was so much fun and slightly bittersweet since it was my last one as an undergraduate. Rites is basically Coachella for the *broke* college student. It’s a two day music festival on our lawn with tons of artist and this year the headliners were Gucci Mane and DNCE! I had a great time and love being able to show off my “faux Coachella” styles.
Hey loves! I have been working on this post for a while because it is on something that is super important to me…SHOES! If you know me then you know I’m a shoe-aholic. I have a pair for every occasion and pairs that may not even be for an occasion, but they were super cute and I had to have them. There are certain shoes that are needed in everyone’s closet so that you never have an incomplete outfit. Here is my *quick* list of essential shoes!
This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity of attending one of the fashion shows that was a part of Nashville Fashion Week. I had an amazing time, the venue was beautiful and all of the designers put on a great show!
I wanted to tell you all about something that is very near to my heart. At my university I am the current president of an organization called S.T.R.A.N.D.S. and this past Sunday we had our first annual Black Girl Magic Gala.
I personally adore shopping, but being on a college student’s budget it is not always easy for me to consistently make new purchases. I decided to visit the thrift stores that are in my area for some inexpensive finds and I lucked out and found quite a few items that I really liked!
My new friend Jordan was generous enough to do a photoshoot for my good friend Kieanna and I and I wanted to share his work with you all!
Time to get spooky! Halloween is a fun time of the year because you get to be someone you aren’t and let your more creative side out. From queens to nurses to pumpkins, there are tons of things you could dress up as in a fun and cute way.
