9 Spring Date Ideas That Anyone Will Enjoy

Spring is coming! That means warmer weather, fewer layers, and leaving the coziness of your home. The reliable “dinner and a movie” date is always a good idea but sometimes we get tired of doing the same thing (plus we eventually run out of good movies to see). I have compiled a list of different spring date ideas that are perfect for the good weather that is coming.

The botanical gardens

The botanical gardens is one of my favorite places in the city and it is especially gorgeous in the spring when the flowers are in bloom. Taking a walk through the gardens gives you a great chance to talk to your date and get to know them while the beauty of nature gets rid of any awkward lulls in conversation. Your local botanical garden may even have events and classes to take while you’re there making it a great spring date idea.

Picnic at the park

Spring means more time outdoors and what’s a better way to get some fresh air than a picnic at the park? Pack a basket with some of your favorite foods and drinks, bring a small speaker for music and enjoy the outdoors with your date. You can even download a movie from Netflix and watch it while the sun sets.

rooftop bar

I love rooftop bars! Just the feeling of being so high up and seeing the city below you is exhilarating. It’s even better when you aren’t under five layers of clothing and the sun is shining. Getting a drink at a rooftop bar is great for conversation, learning someone’s drink preferences and having an amazing view.

bike ride through the city

Many cities have rental bikes available that you can pick up and drop off anywhere. Take a bike ride through the city (if you are in Atlanta the Beltline is great), discover new places, and get some exercise in at the same time. Bike riding is really fun, especially when you have someone else to compete with.

amusement parks

Many amusement parks open back up for the season when the weather gets warmer. If you want a more adrenaline filled date this is the perfect place to go, you can have tons of fun while still having time to sit down and chat over a snack in between rides. This is great for a spring date because the weather isn’t too hot and you won’t melt while walking around the park.

hike

What better way to enjoy the nice weather than being in nature? You can take a hike through a nature preserve or hike up a local mountain trail. You’ll get some fresh air, exercise, and have plenty of time to talk and get to know each other.

festival

There are a lot of festivals happening in the spring, whether it be a concert, food and drink festival, or some other theme. You can usually get tickets pretty cheap if you buy them earlier and with so many things going on around you you won’t run out of things to talk about.

food truck park

Food trucks have some of the best foods and at food truck parks you are able to get a wide variety of cuisines all in one place. Take a stroll through the park and try foods that you haven’t had before. Get to know your date’s food preferences, this will help for planning future dates.

art stroll

Many cities have monthly art strolls where you can tour different galleries, restaurants, and other businesses in a neighborhood for free. It is a great way to save money and you get to see some of the beautiful art done by local artists. With all of the art you will always have something inspiring to strike up conversation.

Building a bouquet together at the local florist followed by a sangria/cider tasting of random bottles in the discount aisle at your local ale store. Idk tho, I just made this up

I live basically in the middle of nowhere so I have very few of these things but it all sounds like fun! Picnic in the park sounds lovely for those on a budget! x
